After many years of requests from our choir families and other community members, we are thrilled to announce Kokopelli Choirs' first-ever summer camp program! Summer Sing is a five-day camp experience for singers aged 8 to 14 years.
  • WHEN
    August 20-24, 2018

Pavillion Lacerte (Grand Salon), 8406 Rue Marie-Anne Gaboury
Campus St. Jean, University of Alberta, Edmonton

Campers must be 8 to 14 years of age as of August 20, 2018.
The camp will run 9 AM to 4 PM, with childcare available between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM.
  • COST
The fee to participate in Summer Sing 2018 is $250, which includes a camp t-shirt and printed choral music to keep.
Summer Sing will be led by Kokopelli Choirs' own Carmen So, director of our children's choir Kikimasu. Rooted solidly in the Kodaly and Orff methods of instruction, this camp will provide students with the opportunity to learn about music through singing, playing various percussion instruments, and creative movement. In addition to learning how to sing as a choral ensemble, campers will have the chance to explore music through drumming, playing barred instruments such as glockenspiels, xylophones, and metallophones, folk dance, and plenty of song-based books and games to build their skills and have fun! The campers will also have time to play outdoor games, create arts and crafts, as well as attend daily exciting concerts with inspirational local musicians. A celebration of learning concert will held on the final day of the camp, Friday, August 24th.

Registration for Summer Sing is now closed! Please email us to inquire about any spots that may come available due to cancellations.
