Carewen’s business experience includes guiding organizations in realizing breakthrough improvement. His track record includes a key supporting role in 5Point Operations in becoming recognized as Canada’s 12th Fastest Growing Company in 2017, designing and developing the University of Alberta’s award-winning electronic Competency Based Achievement System (eCBAS) to manage the competency assessment, measurement and certification of student doctors throughout Alberta, and building the Government of Alberta’s Infrastructure critical response Flood Acquisition Portal in 2013 to support the management of $175 million of flood relief. He is currently engaged with Carrington Communities as business architect and developer of CARS (Carrington Automated Reminder System). He is a Volunteer Instructor Alumnus of the Government of Alberta's Board Development Program (BDP) and was a Volunteer Trainer for the 2014 class of BDP Volunteer Instructors. He is certified in Prosci Change Management and Six Sigma process improvement.
