Margaret enjoyed a successful 40-year career in information technology, introducing, planning and implementing technology-based solutions in various public and private sector organizations. Her demonstrated expertise included team building, needs analysis, problem solving, resource management and financial stewardship. During her career Margaret proved herself to be a well-organized and energetic individual with strong communication, management and leadership skills.
Over the years, Margaret has volunteered in participant, fundraising, and board positions with several not-for-profit organizations including Big Brothers & Big Sisters, the Canadian Information Processing Society, the United Way of the Alberta Capital Region, and most recently the Kokopelli Choir Association.
Margaret retired in 2014 and, along with her husband Barry, thoroughly enjoys her family, especially being a grandparent to eleven grandchildren (and counting!). She strives to stay physically active and to be involved in meaningful pursuits, including being a proud member of Vacilando. She remains keen to give back to her Edmonton community in whatever way she can.
