Seeking Administrative Assistant

The Kokopelli Choir Association is currently accepting applications for the position of administrative assistant

Reporting to our executive director, the role of administrative assistant is a part-time (15 hours/week) position which encompasses many of the administrative support duties of running the organization.  These include: managing registrations and auditions, library organization and cataloguing, event planning and coordination, tour management, and communications among staff members and with our choir membership.  Our administrative assistant will have the opportunity to work closely with our staff and members to continue developing a strong and innovative program. The successful applicant will be hired on a contract basis and must be able to provide their own workspace including a computer, internet access, phone, etc. Work hours will be negotiable but will include some fixed times around certain choir events such as concerts, workshops, etc.

Qualifications:
- a minimum of one year prior experience in administrative and communications work, preferably in the arts community
- technological skills including familiarity with: Google apps (including Google Drive), social media (Twitter, Facebook Pages, YouTube), Microsoft Word & Excel, and basic web editing via rich text interface
- the ability to balance, prioritize, and manage many variable tasks
- applicants should be confident and very efficient; they should have exceptional organizational skills and be self-directed workers

Salary Range:
$14-$16/hour, based on experience and skill level

Start Date:
November 4, 2013 (negotiable)
